Just to remind us we are back in Colorado, we woke up to snow on the ground and gale force winds that knocked out the power this morning. Since the power was out and we didn't have any milk (seeing we just returned from vacation the night before), Jack fired up the Coleman stove out in the garage and cooked us some gourmet oatmeal for breakfast. Just as he was coming back in the house with our hot breakfast, the power came back on. An hour or so later we lost power again, but it came back on just in time for General Conference.
I love to listen to Conference. I get such a spiritual boost from listening to the inspired messages and music. Today the message that really stood out to me was of the importance of eternal families. I am so grateful for my husband and children. We were just able to spend a week together building memories and having happy experiences. I am so grateful that we are able to be together for not only this life, but through the eternities as through the sealing power of the priesthood. The knowledge that our family will remain intact even after death is the most powerful blessing I can think of. What a loving Heavenly Father to put us here on the earth with families that we love so much, and then make it possible for us to live with them forever! I feel so blessed.
