Back to School BBQ

The last Saturday before school started, we had a back to school barbecue. We let each of the girls pick one friend to invite, and Jack and I chose a couple families from the neighborhood we wanted to get to know better. Of course, Rebecca chose her friend Anna and Miriam chose our neighbor Katelyn. We also had Chad and Tracy and their girls over. We had lots of fun with these three families.

The plan was to grill, eat out in the back yard, and then play on the new Slip and Slide. Unfortunately, the weather was cold and rainy! We ended up eating inside. The kids mostly played in the house until the sun finally peeked out of the clouds. As soon as that happened, the kids wanted to play in the water. They had fun, but were awfully cold!
